Tech Client with B+H Architects and BNBuilders | Los Angeles Office Photography
Shooting a "confidential tech client" is just as cool as it sounds, and I love any opportunity to shoot again with B+H Architects and BNBuilders! This Los Angeles office space was one of the coolest and biggest office spaces I've ever captured.
This all-day shoot took your average office space to a whole new level with six floors, an on-site market (what?!), open office spaces, breakrooms, a balcony, and so much more. Seriously, I was absolutely blown away by the details and intricacies of this space, and I am so glad I can show off how a tech space doesn't just equal boring and bland.
How I Planned This Office Shoot
Although this shoot was scheduled for the entire day, I still had to ensure enough time for each of the six floors. This meant planning ahead of time, making a list of the shots I wanted to capture, and scheduling extra time for anything that popped up.
My main priority was to show off the incredible work of B+H Architects and BNBuilders and all the cool, thoughtful details they incorporated into this space. Because this wasn’t our first time collaborating, it was easier to prep ahead of time and know my clients’ expectations.
Capturing All the Details
For a tech company, this space was overflowing with cool, unique, and artsy details. I really wanted to show off how rad this place is and how warm and welcoming it felt, so I prioritized detailed shots.
Tech companies are notoriously labeled as cold and impersonal. However, this office space thought of the small details, including potted plants (everywhere!), wooden intricacies, pooch parking spots (the cutest!), and cool lighting details. Even with six floors, the building always felt light due to the open-floor concept and attention to lighting fixtures. When possible, I tried to take advantage of the outdoor lighting to make the space appear even brighter (I always try to utilize natural light whenever possible!).

Highlighting Unique Spaces
Besides being partial to the pooch parking spot (but only 5-minute parking allowed!), I loved how all the spaces had their own flair and personality. From the market area and eating spaces to the balcony and working areas, every space felt separate yet tied together with a common aesthetic.
Even with the open-floor concept, there were several nooks for private meetings, lunch in a small group, or just some time alone. These smaller areas also helped to break up the open space and make it feel more personal.
Embracing Cool Art
This might just be one of the coolest tech clients I’ve ever had, and they didn’t disappoint with the unique art features. They really embraced the colorful furniture, uniquely tiled floors, and abstract designs on the walls. Plus, they included neon signs for a pop of color and design, along with incorporating lots of curves into the architecture to soften the space.
While wood was used as a building material, it was also seamlessly integrated into the space's aesthetics, with beamed ceilings and wooden cutouts along the walls. Plus, it became part of the interior design, with wooden details unifying the floors into one cohesive space.
Using Models to Bring the Office to Life
We used models for most shots, making the shooting day even more fun! Plus, it added context to the photos, personalized the spaces, and brought the whole project to life. Models are particularly helpful when trying to give perspective to spaces and emphasize larger rooms.

It's always great to work with B+H Architects and BNBuilders, and it's exciting to see an incredible space come to life. I'm looking forward to working with both of my clients again in the future!
