La Jolla Commons | CBRE | San Diego Architectural Photography
When CBRE calls for a commercial architectural photography project in San Diego, you know it’s going to be a good one. This time, I had the chance to capture the rebranded three-building campus at La Jolla Commons, a modern workplace packed with high-end amenities, sleek office spaces, and some seriously cool architecture.
With a ideal location near Westfield UTC Mall, this campus offers a perfect blend of work, wellness, and community—something I made sure to highlight in my building photography, drone photography, and exterior photography.
Capturing the Campus with Exterior & Drone Photography
This isn’t just any office campus—it’s designed for collaboration and connection, which meant my exterior photography had to capture more than just the buildings themselves.
• Drone photography helped showcase the campus layout, outdoor event plaza, and proximity to UTC Mall—key details for future tenants.
• I focused on the clean, modern architecture, using golden hour lighting to enhance the glass facades and outdoor spaces.
• The art sculpture at the entrance added a creative touch, giving the space an identity beyond just another corporate office.
A Fitness Center That Feels More Like a Luxury Gym
Most office buildings wish they had a fitness center like this. Think indoor-outdoor workout areas, state-of-the-art equipment, showers, lockers, and even surfboard storage (because, of course, this is San Diego).
Capturing the wellness amenities was a key part of this architectural photography project, highlighting how this campus is designed for both productivity and balance.
Dusk Photography for That Extra Wow Factor
Sunset shots are always worth the wait, and this campus delivered. Dusk photography added warmth and depth, making the outdoor plaza, landscaped walkways, and building exteriors glow. These images bring the space to life and show how it transforms throughout the day.
SPEC SUITES SO SWEET
The 4272 building features brand-new spec suites, designed to attract tenants looking for move-in-ready office spaces. My interior photography focused on:
• Floor-to-ceiling glass that floods the spaces with natural light.
• Sleek, modern finishes that make these suites feel fresh and inviting.
• Flexible layouts that cater to a variety of businesses.
With a new restaurant opening this year, a rotating lineup of food trucks, and plenty of outdoor lounge areas, this campus isn’t just a place to work—it’s a thriving business hub.
Partnering with CBRE on this project was an absolute pleasure, and capturing the essence of La Jolla Commons through drone photography, exterior photography, and architectural photography was a rewarding challenge.
