Love.Life Holistic Health + Wellness Club with BRR Architecture | Los Angeles Wellness Photography

I enjoy photographing all kinds of architectural spaces, but my recent shoot at Love.Life with BBR Architecture has to be my favorite this year! They transformed an old Best Buy in Los Angeles into an incredible holistic health and wellness club. It’s packed with innovative and forward-thinking features that represent the future of health for the mind, body, and spirit.

During this all-day shoot, I aimed to capture all the unique spaces and details that make this wellness club truly one-of-a-kind, including its cafe, medspa, massive gym, pickleball courts, cold plunges, infrared and dry saunas, and so much more!

How I Planned This Wellness Club Shoot

Even with 8 hours to shoot this space, I needed to be organized and strategic to capture all its unique offerings. I made a list of the shots I wanted and scheduled extra time for any unexpected opportunities (and yes, I was tempted to try out some of the spaces myself – maybe next time!).

My main goal was to highlight the fantastic work of BRR Architecture and how they turned this old Best Buy location into a super rad wellness club!

Capturing All the Details

This isn’t your average health club—it’s a comprehensive wellness club that offers a holistic and well-rounded health experience. It combines wellness through nutritious meals at its cafe, medical testing at its center, top-tier fitness and performance activities, and recovery options at its spa and sauna.

Love.Life and BRR Architecture have created a peaceful and welcoming atmosphere by using inviting color combinations, warm wooden accents, plenty of plants, and living moss curved and woven throughout the spa area.

Photographing the Health and Wellness Spaces

With so many features and sections at Love.Life, it was crucial to capture all aspects of this holistic health and wellness club. Despite the variety of offerings, the spaces complement each other, creating a cohesive health experience.

Wellness Cafe

The wellness cafe is a spacious, open area perfect for groups of any size to meet before or after training. Managed by chefs and dietitians, it offers fresh, flavorful meals packed with nutrient-rich ingredients. The cafe is vibrant and welcoming, with yellow lights, colorful walls, and open seating.

Fitness and Performance Training

Love.Life helps everyone reach their full potential with state-of-the-art fitness and performance options. From spinning and weightlifting to group classes, pickleball, and personal training, there’s something for everyone! BBR Architecture designed the fitness area to feel intimate and personalized by dividing it into smaller spaces for specific activities. These rooms still felt inviting, with colorful walls, clean spaces, and many wooden features that create distinct areas.

Spa and Recovery Area

After a tough workout, unwind in the spa and recovery area. Specifically designed to complement the fitness and performance offerings, this area promotes relaxation, meditation, and energy healing through infrared and dry saunas, cold plunge baths, physical therapy, and more. The use of living moss and wooden accents throughout the spa evokes a relaxing atmosphere that enhances the recovery process.

How Lighting Influenced the Photos

Lighting plays a crucial role in shaping the ambiance of this wellness club. The light reflects off the soothing wall colors, creating a sense of calm and relaxation, and also features different lighting elements throughout the space. This includes recessed lighting, hanging lamps, colored lighting, and mood lighting in the cafe, fitness and performance area, and spa and recovery rooms. I aimed to showcase how different types of lighting can positively influence your overall mood and experience.

I love collaborating with BRR Architecture because they can transform empty and outdated spaces into innovative and forward-thinking spaces. I can’t wait to see what they create next and to work with them again!

I am Haley Hill, a thirty something year old Fuji photographer capturing all of the things; food, architecture, events, you name it, I’ll shoot it (except your wedding, I’ll leave that to Still Music). When I’m not snapping pics, you can find me in the ocean, at Corepower or rapping in my band Girlboy.
