Commercial Photographay | Office Interiors

I loved capturing newly designed commercial office interiors. It’s an opportunity to connect with a completely revitalized space and use interior photography to demonstrate its value and efficiency.

This clean, modern environment makes use of every corner while still allowing for ample space to work, move, and live on a day-to-day basis. Clean lines, natural lighting, and inviting textures all made Ansys a joy to shoot.

How I Planned this Commercial Photography Shoot

Upon evaluating the space, I knew I wanted to emphasize how well each individual area flowed into the next, making it both inviting and functional. This meant setting myself and my equipment up in a way that focused on angles to capture paths and walkways as they worked their way around furnishings. At the same time, I wanted to highlight the pops of color, rich textures, lighting, and art that make Ansys such a welcoming work environment.

Capturing the Layout

In the communal office space, I took inspiration from the way the angles and arrangement of each desk created a natural path of travel without taking away from the openness of the environment. I worked to demonstrate this feeling by shooting from a variety of angles. I also followed the flow of clean lines and changes in carpet texturing as they worked to connect private meeting rooms and offices with common areas, like the lobby, corridors, etc.

Spotlight on Texture

I quickly noticed that texture was an integral part of the office’s design, and I wanted to make sure I emphasized this through my commercial photography. The combination of wall paneling, smooth and etched glass, multi-directional carpeting, large cushions, and wallpaper all come together to harmonize warmth and practicality.

Emphasizing Creature Comforts

Because workers spend so much of their time within the scope of their work environment, I wanted to showcase how beautifully the Ansys design offers a clean space for clear thinking and optimal performance while always keeping creature comforts in mind. I began by highlighting the way that natural lighting permeates each space, adding a feeling of connection with nature. I also wanted to put a strong emphasis on the love and detail that went into creating a break area that truly feels like home. The modern yet homey kitchen environment features an inviting breakfast bar, a gorgeous backsplash, and cozy semi-private seating for a quiet break or lunch with a colleague. The theme of creature comforts is carried throughout the building with comfy seating, wall accents, and art pieces that allow people to feel their best without ever detracting from the professional vibe.

Haley’s Helpful Hint: Go with the flow. When working on a commercial interior photography project, you need to follow the natural flow of the design plan in order to capture the beauty and functionality of the space.
